Keith Codron is a tax and estate planning attorney whose practice is focused primarily on advanced wealth protection and preservation strategies for business owners, key executives, investors and professional practitioners, specifically including the design and implementation of litigation-sensitive structures utilizing various combinations of foreign and domestic entities.

Mr. Codron’s particular areas of expertise in the estate planning field include revocable trusts, international  trusts, charitable remainder and lead trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, grantor retained annuity trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, special needs trusts, multi-generational dynasty trusts, stretch IRA inheritance trusts, family limited partnerships and limited liability companies, ‘S’ and ‘C’ corporations, professional corporations, estate freezes, gift tax valuation discounts, pre-marriage divorce proofing, executive compensation planning, pension rescue strategies, private foundations, wills and will contests, probate and trust administration, conservatorships, advance health care directives and durable powers of attorney.

Mr. Codron also handles a wide array of business and corporate law matters in addition to preparing tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts and estates.

Mr. Codron is licensed as an attorney by the State Bar of California (1982), The Florida Bar (1981), and the State Bar Association of New York (1980), and is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, the Eleventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Mr. Codron earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago in 1976, a Juris Doctor law degree from John Marshall Law School in 1979, and an advanced postgraduate Master of Laws [LL.M.] degree in federal tax from the University of Miami Law Center in 1980.

Mr. Codron, whose office is centrally located near the John Wayne Airport in Irvine, is a past member of the Orange Coast Estate Planning Council and Planned Giving Roundtable.

Mr. Codron began his legal career in 1980, opening his own firm in 1985.  With 30 years of concentrated experience behind him, Mr. Codron is able to offer clients timely, cost-effective solutions for their transactional planning needs.
